Centre Syracuse Receives Jerome Wayne Award
Centre Syracuse, a partial hospital program for treating eating disorders, recently received the Jerome Wayne Award from the Mental Health Association of Onondaga County at their annual Community Service Awards Luncheon. The Jerome Wayne Award is given for developing an innovative mental health treatment program that serves the local community. Centre Syracuse is an affiliate of the Eating Disorder Recovery Center of Western New York.

The Eating Disorders Recovery Center of Western New York sponsored a training workshop for clinicians and clinicians-in-training interested in using Family Based Treatment (the Maudsley method) to treat adolescents with anorexia and bulimia.

Coaches, Trainers, Athletes and Eating Disorders: Connecting the Dots to Recovery
Eating Disorders among athletes are serious health concerns that not only affect the individual, but also affect other team members, athletic staff, and school personnel. This presentation was designed to help student athletes by providing athletic departments with the latest techniques for identifying and responding to eating disorders.
