The Western NY Comprehensive Care Center for Eating Disorders (WNYCCCED) aims to connect you with the right information, the right resources, and the right people to help you or your loved one move ahead in recovery.
The Center serves as the hub for eating disorder services in the 30-county Western New York Region. Between 20,000 and 30,000 individuals living within the Western New York service region have an eating disorder.
Directed out of the University of Rochester School of Nursing, the WNYCCCED is a partnership between the University of Rochester School of Nursing and the Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders Program at Golisano Children’s Hospital. It is one of three legislatively mandated comprehensive care centers for eating disorders funded by the New York State Department of Health.
We also work with three affiliate sites, including:
Each Center is comprised of a continuum of comprehensive and coordinated care for individuals with eating disorders and their families. The Centers offer critical services that promote public health; facilitate quick access to care; promote coordinated, comprehensive, continuous care, as well as effective chronic disease management; foster relapse prevention; and promote best practices. These services are not reimbursed by insurers.
WNYCCCED services are offered free of charge and include:
If you want to become involved with our organization, we are always looking for new participants to volunteer on our Community Advisory Board. The board, which includes patients, family members, school/college and health care professionals, as well as community members, provides vital feedback and advice to the WNY Comprehensive Care Center for Eating Disorders team.
