About Me

Leigh A. Kirby, LCAT, MS, MT-BC is a licensed creative arts therapist and board-certified music therapist who has over 16 years of experience in the field providing direct services, teaching, researching, and founding a non-profit. She is currently the music therapist for the Pluta Integrative Oncology & Wellness Center, the Western New York Comprehensive Care Center for Eating Disorders, and UR Medicine’s Mental Health and Wellness’ Strong Recovery program. In addition, Leigh works with the Adolescent Medicine team to provide services for the adolescent eating disorder population on 8 South. She provides individual and group sessions in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Leigh has expanded her services to the 6th floor of the Wilmot Cancer Center. She harnesses the therapeutic power of music to ground and center us, help us process our circumstances, manage symptoms, create coping skills, and embrace wellness. Leigh received her BM in Music Therapy and MS in Creative Arts Therapy, from Nazareth University. She loves the creative arts and believes that there are endless possibilities when music is involved.
