About Me

I am a pediatric nurse practitioner with almost 20 years of experience in direct patient care for individuals with eating disorders, including outpatient and inpatient settings.  This led me to a passion in improving the care we give in medical settings for these individuals and their families.  I completed a fellowship in Leadership Education in Adolescent Health at Boston Children’s Hospital, a PhD in nursing with a focus on eating disorders at Boston College, and a postdoctoral fellowship in eating disorder research at the University of Chicago.  I am currently a researcher in the University of Rochester School of Nursing focusing on eating disorder care, and practicing as a nurse practitioner in Adolescent Medicine at Golisano Children’s Hospital.
